A minor world on the outskirts of the sector, Heim was brought into the Imperium in the last years of the Calixis Crusade almost as an afterthought. Like so many worlds colonised by humans and since rediscovered the populace had regressed to a feudal state of warring kings and principalities. With a blackpowder and steam technology base the reconquest was over in a matter of days and an Imperial governor installed.

A long examination for traces of heretical belief and thought, so common in worlds with pre-Imperial human habitation, found only minor blasphemies. These were thoroughly extirpated within a decade and the Imperial Cult brought to it proper position of prominence.

It has a single spaceport which sits adjacent to capitol, Rhuk, the only settlement on the planet worthy of being called a city, having a population of approximately a million souls. The seat of the governor rests in the Imperial Tower, the tallest structure on Heim, situated in the centre of Rhuk.

Tsachar sits outside the major trade routes for Warp travel and is not on the circuits of any known Chartist captains, so Heim’s external contact is generally limited to quincennial Navy patrols and Imperial tithe.

Emali has informed us that about 40 years ago, strangers arrived on this backwards planet and quickly industrialised it. Five years ago, these strangers left again, with a promise to return “when ready”.
